We are the Baumgartner family...
and run the Öbersthof Latzfons with hard work and dedication. The farm is located at an elevation of 1,650 meters, surrounded by biodiverse, near-natural mountain meadows and forests. Our operation specializes in high-quality beef cattle farming. Since spring 2024, we have also been offering farm stays.
Our farm is not just a place of work
but also a place of community and togetherness. We look forward to welcoming you to our farm and giving you a glimpse into life in the countryside.
Georg & Nadja
Georg and Nadja have run the farm since 2023. Georg looks after the animals and the land and also helps in the farm tavern. Nadja takes care of our holiday guests and tavern visitors. A trained florist, she especially enjoys tending the flowers and plants in the garden.
Hans & Martha
have built up the farm with hard work and passion and shaped it over many years. Hans knows every corner of the farm and continues to support us to this day with his experience and extensive knowledge. Martha is the heart and soul of the farm and lovingly takes care of the house, farm, and garden. Especially during the warmer months, you’ll often find her in her blooming garden, which is her great passion.
In addition to Georg, Hans, and Martha, the siblings Jonas, Gabriel, and Luzia are also part of the
family. They also enjoy helping out on the farm.
Latzfons is located in the Eisack Valley at an elevation of 1,160 meters
and enjoys a picturesque setting amid the South Tyrolean Alps. The surrounding area is characterized by breathtaking mountain scenery, with green meadows, dense forests, and majestic peaks. Latzfons is known for its idyllic atmosphere and the traditional charm of a typical South Tyrolean mountain village. The Eisack Valley offers numerous opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, and mountain biking. The surrounding area is also home to many historical sights and cultural events that attract visitors.
In the village center of Latzfons, you will find everything you need for your daily needs (approx. 15 minutes away by car).
Hasler Bakery:
Open Monday to Friday in the mornings until 12:00 and in the afternoons from 15:00.
Closed: Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
Pfattner Butcher's Shop:
Open Monday and Wednesday to Friday in the mornings until 12:00 and in the afternoons from 15:00.
Open Tuesday mornings until 12:00.
Closed: Tuesday afternoon, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday.

Bergesruh offers 42 m² of space with a fully equipped kitchen and living area, a cosy bedroom with a double bed and a spacious bathroom. Enjoy mountain views from the balcony and unwind in the whirlpool bath after a day outdoors.

Gipfeltraum offers 42 m² with a fully equipped kitchen and living area and a cosy bedroom with a double bed. A generous seating area with a traditional stove is a welcoming place to relax after a day outdoors. The balcony offers sweeping mountain views.
